I realize it's been quite awhile since I’ve visited this space and quite frankly, that kills me. Having written for various online journals in the past, I’ve always found writing to be a form of cathartism unmatched by any other creative outlet...well, except maybe music. On that note, I thought what better way to make a new year entrance than with a loving little "mixtape?" 

Remember the first time a crush or significant other gave you a mixtape or (if you're a millennial such as myself) a burned CD? They were always covered in Sharpie transcribed song titles, artists, and scribbles, signifying the curator had carefully arranged then rearranged the songs until they reached the perfect symphony of self-expression they knew would burn a hole right through your soul. Whew! That's hand lettered passion straight to the eardrum right there.

So in hopes of triggering some of those first-love-status goosebumps, I've crafted a funky, fun Valentine mixtape just for you. Hope you find some new beats or possibly even inspiration to curate your own V-day playlist for that special someone. If you do, do me a favor, burn it on a CD. It will mean so, SO much more, I promise. ♥

Hey creepy kids! Stop by Tyler Village this Saturday for a haunting good time and scary good finds. It's been a few months since I've set up shop at the Flea so I'll have all new globes, maps, and seasonal goodies including limited run Halloween postcards, hand painted pumpkins, and treats for the little ones (or big ones cause who doesn't love candy?). I'm so excited to see familiar faces and meet new ones so come say hello and enjoy the perfection that only Ohio October can bring!

So unbelievably excited to announce that H.L.O.S. has been nominated and named a Best of Cleveland winner for 2017! I'm truly humbled to be highlighted among so many other talented small business owners doing what they can to contribute to Cleveland's rockin' community. We're so lucky to live in a 'Land' that does all it can to encourage individual creatives and smaller startups and I'm honored to just recently become a part of it. It's only been a year since I opened up shop, and in that small amount of time, I've met so many incredible creative entrepreneurs, locals, visitors and people like you that offer such a resounding support system.I can't thank you enough for your continued support! Your humor, feedback, and unique personalities are my inspiration so H.L.O.S. truly wouldn't exist without you.
